Uzbek President receives German FM
Uzbek leader underlined that the meeting provides good opportunity to share views on the issues of bilateral cooperation and is a constituent part of the multifaceted and regular Uzbek-German dialogue.
At the meeting, the sides considered issues on extensive Uzbek-German agenda, including prospects of consistent development of cultural-humanitarian ties, implementation of joint educational projects, as well as some regional and international issues have been discussed at the meeting.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier sincerely thanked the President of Uzbekistan for a warm reception and acknowledged the readiness of the leadership pf Germany to further reinforce and expand cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis.
For the last 15 years, direct German investments and loans for over US$784 million have been attracted to the Uzbek economy.
About 113 enterprises with participation of German investors, including 27 enterprises fully owned by German capital, operate in Uzbekistan.
