Uzbek President receives British official
It was noted that Uzbekistan considers Great Britain as the country, which plays key role in global politics and economy and pays great attention to development of mutual beneficial cooperation in politics, economy, investments, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, strengthening cooperation at international arena, including in regional security issues.
Alan Duncan congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his landslide victory in the presidential elections and underlined that the British side welcomes the programme of reforms, which was launched by the Uzbek President.
He said that Great Britain is ready to work with new leadership of Uzbekistan over strengthening and further expanding the Uzbek-British multilateral dialogue.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on all spectrum of the Uzbek-British cooperation.
The sides underlined that it is necessary to boost cooperation in trade-economic and investment spheres, in which the sides have great potential.
The sides also highly rated current state of cooperation in cultural-humanitarian sphere. They also affirmed readiness to expand cooperation in these directions, taking into account interest of the Uzbek people in studying English language.
During the talks, the sides also considered other issues of the Uzbek-British relations.
