Uzbek President optimizes activities of internal affairs bodies
The Uzbek President in his decree underlined shortages and problems in the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan.
President also determined main directions on reforming system of interior affairs bodies.
Uzbek leader underlined interior affairs bodies should focus their activities to provide modern and quality assistance to population.
The decree said that interior affairs bodies should serve to interests of people.
The document envisages measures on rational distribution on main tasks of employees of interior affairs bodies of various levels.
According to the decree, Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan will provide a report on current state on preventing violations to Senate of Oliy Majlis twice a year.
Uzbek President approved several organizational changes at the Interior Affairs Ministry. In particular, Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation and the Main Directorate for Combating Terrorism and Extremism were reorganized to the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation and the Fight against Terrorism.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also reorganized the Main Investigation Department into the Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan reorganized other structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. The Main Personnel Department and the Department for Homeland Security were established.
Uzbek leader created Department of international cooperation on the base of several structures of the ministry.
Department of entry, exit and registration of citizenship has been transformed into the General Directorate for Migration and Registration of Citizenship.
The decree envisages establishment of the Office for Work with the Appeals of Individuals, Legal Entities and the Office under the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan approved a programme of comprehensive measures to fundamentally reform the system of internal affairs bodies in order to use the necessary organizational and legal mechanisms for carrying out the main tasks, defined in the decree.
