Uzbek President meets with Prime Minister of India
Uzbek leader congratulated the Prime Minister of India on the forthcoming adoption at the SCO summit of a decision on India’s joining the organization as a full member.
President of Uzbekistan noted that the meeting with the Prime Minister of India is a good opportunity to discuss implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of India to Uzbekistan in 2016 and to determine the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation.
Narendra Modi expressed sincere gratitude for the fact that Uzbekistan has always strongly supported the proposal on India’s membership in the SCO. He noted that this historic event will create fundamentally new opportunities for the further development of a multi-faceted bilateral partnership, will expand practical regional cooperation in the fields of security, trade, economic and investment spheres.
Prime Minister of India expressed confidence in the further development of cooperation between our countries based on mutual trust.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Narendra Modi discussed issues of further expansion of relations between Uzbekistan and India.
