Uzbek President meets with heads of Security Councils of SCO member states
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov received the heads of Council of Security of the member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Secretary General of SCO and Director of Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the SCO on 14 April 2016.
Islam Karimov underlined that the SCO became powerful and efficient of international organization, activities of which help to solve tasks in strengthening peace, stability and security, sustainable social-economic development of the SCO member states.
Uzbek leader said that the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the SCO play a special role in developing and implementing important decisions in preventing and eliminating terrorism, extremism and separatism, as well as other modern threats and challenges.
Representatives of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan shared their opinion on issues, which were discussed at the Eleventh session of the Security Secretaries of the SCO member states.
At the meeting, they also expressed gratitude to the Uzbek President Islam Karimov for reception and role of Uzbekistan on boosting activities of the SCO in many spheres of regional cooperation.
