Uzbek President leaves for Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov left for Astana to participate in the session of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of State. The CIS summit will be held in Kazakhstan on 15-16 October 2015.

The agenda of the summit includes issues of further developing cooperation within the CIS and exchange of opinion on actual international and regional problems, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

Overall, the CIS leaders will consider about 17 issues. In particular, it is planned to adopt statements of the CIS leaders in connection with the 70th anniversary of UN creation, 30th anniversary of accident at Chernobyl nuclear power station and fighting international terrorism.

Besides, the CIS Presidents will consider issues of further strengthening military and border issues, as well as some cadre issues.
