Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of the Center for Islamic Civilization.

Currently, the construction of the building has been completed. On its four sides, there are 34-meter-high portals, and an oriental-style dome rises in the center.

The head of state went to each room, got acquainted with the projects of their decoration and equipment.

Recommendations are given on the external and internal decoration of the center, decoration with ornaments. It was noted that it is necessary to apply modern solutions with the expectation of receiving numerous tourists, delegations, holding international conferences, and preparing the expositions so that they are designed for visitors of different ages.

During his previous visit, the President noted that the Center for Islamic Civilization should become the base for scientific institutions in this area, have conditions for research by scientists and strengthen the knowledge of students.

Accordingly, the project was finalized, and the center will create conditions for undergraduates and doctoral students of the International Islamic Academy.

The design and equipment of the interior and exterior of the center, security and communication systems will meet the most advanced requirements.

Here, the head of state talked with scientists, representatives of the intelligentsia and the older generation, chairmen of makhallas.

- We often talk about national identity. But one thing worries me: are we worthy of this feeling, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. - What great things did our ancestors do in difficult conditions, by hard work ?! After all, our Jadid grandfathers were also repressed for a specific purpose. They knew that scholarship, pride, statehood are in our blood. In this center the voice of all our great scientists will ring.

It was noted that all makhallas of Almazar district, in which the center is located, should become exemplary, offer their ideas regarding education and upbringing.

“If we do this, the light of the Center of Islamic Civilization will come to each mahalla, and we will succeed,” the President said.
