Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the house of Doniyor Yuldashev, a resident of the Shirin mahalla of Syrdarya region, and talked with family members.

In their yard with an area of 10 acres, the family grows fruit and ornamental trees, vegetables, maintains 30 thoroughbred turkeys and from this annually receives up to 25 million soums of additional income.

The head of state highly appreciated the economy and noted that there should be as many such landscaped courtyards as possible throughout the country.

- The purpose of my trips to the regions, my daily efforts - to make people happy with their lives, to achieve an increase in per capita income. We used to sell raw materials abroad. And now we are processing it at home, producing finished products. Enterprises are opening, our young people, women get jobs. For this phenomenon to expand, development must take place primarily in the mahalla. If the makhalla flourishes, then the state will be strong. If we educate young people as educated people, they will be able to find their own path, their own business, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
