Uzbek President, German Chancellor exchange congratulation messages

Angela Merkel in her message noted that Uzbekistan and Germany established diplomatic relations 25 years ago. Since then, the development of relations between two states has been multifaceted. Germany and Uzbekistan carry out confidential cooperation in the spheres of economy, security and culture, as well as within the framework of international organizations.

She said that Germany is ready as a partner of Uzbekstan to support its efforts in realization of the action strategy on development of the country in 2017-2021, directed at strengthening authorities of parliament, liberalizing economy and reforming legal system.

German Chancellor underlined that German will support further development of friendship, good neighborhood relations with other states.

Merkel wished Uzbekistan and is people free future and prosperity, as well as further expanding mutual cooperation for two countries.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly rated partnership ties between Uzbekistan and Germany. He said that Uzbekistan values support of Germany of its independent and sovereign development, as well as real assistance in realization of democratic and social-economic reforms.

Mirziyoyev said that Uzbekistan and Germany formed and efficiently operate institutional mechanisms of cooperation. The countries also formed firm agreement-legal base, which consists of over 140 agreements.

President of Uzbekistan expressed assurance that the countries should jointly strengthen the Uzbek-German relations on all issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation based on mutual respect, equality and respect interests of each other.
