Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 June, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the Fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Deputy Prime Minister Novak conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin and congratulated the Uzbek leader on the successful organization of the international economic forum.

The two sides reviewed the progress in implementing the agreements reached during President Putin’s state visit to Uzbekistan in May 2024, as well as other high-level accords.

Special emphasis was placed on deepening strategic partnership in the energy sector, advancing joint oil and gas initiatives, and expanding cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
