Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent congratulations to Director General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in connection with her appointment to this high and responsible post. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

In his message, the head of our state expressed confidence in the implementation, under the leadership of the new general director, of effective reforms to enhance the role and authority of this organization, as well as effective measures to overcome the global crisis and further develop the system of international trade relations.

They especially noted the importance of continuing close cooperation in matters of the earliest possible entry of our country into the WTO.
