Uzbek President arrives in Kazakhstan
At the summit, it is expected that the leaders of the SCO member states will discuss current state and prospects for further development of the organization, exchange views on topical issues of regional and international policy, UzA reports.
The issues of further development of trade and economic cooperation between the SCO member states, expansion of the organization’s activities, strengthening of regional security and stability, as well as strengthening of counteraction to terrorism and religious extremism will be considered.
As part of the implementation of the decisions of the Tashkent SCO summit in Astana, it is planned to complete the procedure for admission to the organization of India and Pakistan as member states.
Within the framework of the summit, the President of Uzbekistan will hold a number of meetings with the heads of foreign delegations.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also take part in the official opening ceremony of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
