Uzbek President approves agreement on cooperation with Russia on use of atomic energy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved an intergovernmental agreement between Uzbekistan and Russia on cooperation in use of atomic energy in peaceful purposes.

The document was signed in Tashkent on 29 December 2017 within the visit of the delegation of Rosatom (Russia) in Uzbekistan.

The agreement was inked by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Nodir Otajonov and director-general of Rosatom Aleksey Lihachev.

The intergovernmental agreement creates legal base for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the sphere of peaceful use of atomic energy.
