Uzbek plant launches production of Jet A-1 fuel

The company invested US$3 million to introduce technologies on production of Jet A-100 fuel. The capacity of the plant is 500 tonnes of fuel a day. Earlier, the plant produced aviation kerosene TS-1.

New capacities were constructed to meet needs of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, national airline of Uzbekistan, to Jet A-1 fuel.

Currently, Ferghana oil processing plant is working on installation of technology on production of Jet A-1 fuel. The plant will produce 1,000 tonnes of fuel a day.

It is expected that Jet A-1 fuel will be supplied to internal market first and later directed to export. The plants will continue to produce aviation kerosene TS-1. The plant says the production of Jet A-1 can be increased if demand of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari rises.
