Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 February this year, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov met with representatives of business circles of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the parties noted that trade, economic and investment cooperation is an important component of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

At the event, the Chairman of the CCI A. Ikramov focused on the fact that today additional opportunities are being created for the development of mutually beneficial and long-term relations between business representatives of the two countries.

In turn, the Trade Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Khurram Ali noted that earlier there were certain barriers and challenges, but through the joint efforts of the heads of the two countries, trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are being established today.

At the meeting, the prospects for bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the development of industrial cooperation, topical issues and proposals of Uzbek and Pakistani businesses in various fields were discussed.

Representatives of Pakistani business presented their industries and voiced specific project proposals for cooperation in these areas. 

Detailed information was also provided on the investment and trade and economic potential of Uzbekistan, as well as on the work done by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the implementation of specific agreements and joint projects.
