In this context, a special coordinating role was assigned separately to the associations and groups of friendship and cooperation created in the parliaments of both countries.

On behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan, a strong interest was expressed in further increasing the scale of cooperation with Korea in the areas of trade, investment, finance, education, science, medicine, with a view to developing and implementing new joint initiatives and projects.

In this context, the Korean side highly appreciated the measures taken within the framework of the initiative on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, and noted that this process will have a positive impact on the dynamics of further development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea.
