Uzbek Minister of Agriculture meets with FAO Director-General in Rome

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov met with Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Qu Dongyu in Rome.

At a time when ensuring global food security and promoting sustainable agricultural development have become increasingly urgent, the two sides discussed the implementation of innovative solutions in agriculture, adaptation to climate change, food security, and prospects for cooperation in digital transformation.

The meeting also addressed the organization of the upcoming international LLDC (Landlocked Developing Countries) conference to be held in Uzbekistan.

The talks took place in a constructive and productive atmosphere. Both sides expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation and implement joint projects and initiatives.
