Uzbek MFA: No Uzbek Citizens Among Victims of Floods in Southeast Asia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported that, according to available information, no Uzbek citizens are among those killed, missing, or injured as a result of heavy rains and floods in Indonesia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
In its statement, the Ministry noted that Uzbekistan received the news of numerous victims in the three Southeast Asian countries with “deep sorrow.” The MFA expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
Uzbek diplomatic missions remain in constant contact with local authorities and continue to monitor the situation. The Ministry emphasized that the safety of Uzbek citizens remains under close supervision.
If necessary, Uzbek nationals in the affected regions can seek assistance from overseas diplomatic missions.
