Uzbek metal production tops US$2.5bn in 2008
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
In Uzbekistan, the production volume of non-ferrous metals totalled US$2,975.6 billion soums (about US$2.1bn) in 2008 and increased by 3% compared to 2007.
Production of ferrous metals reached 690.5 billion soums (US$494.6m) with a growth by 54% in 2008 compared to 2007.
