Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between the leadership of the Uzcharmsanoat Association and members of the delegation of the Department of Forestry and Light Industry of Russia.
The parties discussed issues of further expansion of bilateral relations in the leather and footwear sector, strengthening existing ties and expanding the export of domestically produced footwear to the Russian market.
At the meeting, the founder of the Russian brand SOL presented to the leadership of the Association his proposal for the import of shoes from Uzbekistan in 3 different segments.
SOL, which cooperated mainly with China, is now interested in establishing cooperation with Uzbek companies, since the leather and footwear products manufactured in our country fully meet the requirements for quality and price.
The Russian brand intends to purchase leather goods and footwear from domestic enterprises in three segments. The first line is elite shoes, which are currently planned to be supplied in 100 pieces of each size range. Profitable offers for the purchase of sports and children's shoes were also considered.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on attracting Russian designers and technologists to local enterprises. Also in the showroom of the Association, the guests were presented with samples of elite footwear produced in our country.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to start work on the basis of mutually agreed technical parameters.
