Uzbek leader pays visit to Beck Cluster in Syrdarya

Uzbek leader got acquainted with modern greenhouse, organized by a joint venture “Beck Cluster” in Mirzaabad district.

At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, the cluster method is widely implemented in agriculture. Beck Cluster received 18,000 hectares of land in Syrdarya region. This multi-profile cluster organized greenhouses on 100,000 of land in Mirzaabad district. It is planned to harvest and export products for $ 25 million a year.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that there is need to apply scientifically based methods of growing and storing agricultural products, and now start looking for buyers. He gave instructions on localization of production of greenhouse structures, training of specialists in fruit and vegetable production, and the organization of a scientific and practical center for this cluster.

The President also inspected agricultural machinery.
