Uzbek leader cuts number of lyceums
The resolution said that four academic lyceums will be closed as they do not meet modern requirements.
About 54 academic lyceums, located in remote areas and with low level of university enrollment level, will be reorganized into professional colleges.
The Government will allocate funds to purchase shops to professional colleges, which are created on the base of academic lyceums.
The resolution said that the student group will consist of 26 students to create favourable conditions for educational process and use of resources. The group will be divided into two during practical, laboratory and seminar lessons.
The Uzbek leader also approved other measures on improving quality of educational services and renting books.
