Uzbek leader awards new ranks to Interior Affairs Minister, Tashkent police chief

Uzbek President signed a corresponding decree on 22 August 2014, the press service of the Interior Affairs Ministry of Uzbekistan said.

Islam Karimov conferred the special rank of lieutenant-general to the Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan Major General Adham Ahmedbaev.

Head of the Main Department of Interior Affairs of Tashkent city Colonel Mirsamad Adilov received the special rank of major-general.

Ahmedbaev and Adilov received new ranks for their selfless service to protect the peace and tranquility in the country, to ensure safety of citizens, strengthening the rule of law and on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the country’s independence.
