Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a joint operation involving servicemen from the State Security Border Troops, the Tashkent Regional Department of the State Security Service (SSS), and customs authorities, a Tajik citizen born in 1986 was detained after illegally crossing the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border. A search of his bag uncovered 14.584 kilograms of hashish, packaged into 15 bundles. The seizure was conducted in full compliance with procedural regulations.

Subsequent investigative actions led to identifying the drug’s recipient. In the Tashlak district of the Fergana region, a 1969-born individual was detained while receiving the narcotics, with physical evidence confiscated at the scene.

In a separate case, coordinated efforts by the SSS Department of Fergana Region, internal affairs, and customs resulted in the detention of a 1992-born citizen in the Bekabad district of Tashkent region during the sale of 9.467 kilograms of opium smuggled from a neighboring country.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the Tajik drug courier delivered the narcotics to the Surkhandarya region, where a resident of Denov district, born in 1994, accepted and transported the drugs to Tashkent region. He was also detained according to established procedures.

In Kokand, a “Lacetti” vehicle traveling from Fergana to Kokand was stopped. During an inspection in the presence of witnesses, it was found that a passenger, a Kokand resident born in 1967, was concealing 1.759 kilograms of hashish on his person.

In Fergana, a “Zaporozhets” car driven by a 1995-born individual on the route from Fergana to Tashlak was stopped. Authorities discovered 995 grams of hashish inside the vehicle, which was confiscated and documented according to regulations.
