Uzbek Labour Ministry, World Bank hold talks in Tashkent

During the meeting, the sides considered measures on construction cooperation of Uzbekistan with the ILO and World Bank on issuing of adhering to national and international labour standards, creating favourable and secure conditions for labour, preventing child and forced labour, etc.

It was noted cooperation with the ILO and World Bank helps to raise awareness of population on measures adopted in Uzbekistan to ensure labour rights and guarantees. It was stated that norms of international agreements are implemented in national legislation of Uzbekistan.

The World Bank delegation underlined positive changes in the labour sphere in Uzbekistan and noted that World Bank is interested in further developing cooperation with Uzbekistan.
