Uzbek Labour Minister meets with South Korean professors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Uzbekistan Aziz Abduhakimov held a meeting with a delegation of South Korea led by former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Korea Pak Jae Yong. The delegation included professors of the several South Korean universities.

The Uzbek minister briefed the guest on work conducted in Uzbekistan to provide jobs to graduates of educational institutions, first of all, professional colleges.

He said that over 500,000 people graduate colleges in Uzbekistan and they enter labour market. He noted that the Government of Uzbekistan adopts measures on their employment, including via attracting them to business activities, providing preferential micro loans.

It was noted that special events were organized in Ferghana, Syrdarya, Tashkent, Navoi, Surkhandarya, Bukhara regions and Karakalpakstan to attract college graduates to business activities via providing support. These events showed their efficiency.
