Uzbek, Kazakh leaders discuss ties in Tashkent

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan considered main directions of cooperation in trade-economic, water-energy, transport-logistic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Nursultan Nazarbaev and Islam Karimov also discussed actual international issues, regional security, as well as issues releted to upcoming SCO summit in Tashkent.

President of Kazakhstan underlined historic friendly relations between two states. He said that during independence years Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan kept these relations and also made them more closer.

Nazarbaev said that the practical meetings of two leaders play inportant role. He said that he is proud to have friendly relations with the Uzbek leader and between two nations.

In his turn, Islam Karimov said that two states have frank friendly relations, mutual respect and support. President of Uzbekistan said that these qualities are import in current difficult time, in which we are living. He said that current visit of Nursultan Nazarbaev is important to exchange opinion on finding joint solutions to current situations. He said world economic crisis continues and countries are facing difficulties. Islam Karimov said that the sides want to head in right direction and compare notes.
