Uzbek, Kazakh Defense Ministers hold talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan Qabul Berdiev met with the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov in Astana, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry said.

It added that the Uzbek Minister paid a visit to the National Defense University and familiarized himself with operation of the university, its facilities and resources.

The Ministry recalled that during Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Kazakhstan on 23 March, Astana and Tashkent signed the agreement on military cooperation and the memorandum on military and technical cooperation between the defense ministries.
