Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Innovation Development Ibrohim Abdurahmonov met with representatives of the Nath Bio-Genes company Nandkishar Kagliwal and Venkatesh Kulkarni. The parties discussed the state of cooperation, joint steps and further actions to establish partnerships in the field of agriculture.
In accordance with the agreements reached between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the state of Gujarat, the Ministry of Innovative Development establishes cooperation in the organization of production of elite seeds together with Nath Bio-Genes on an area of 20 hectares in the Samarkand region.
In this regard, the company’s management arrived in Uzbekistan to detail organizational issues, in particular the creation of a joint venture that will specialize in the production, sorting, packaging, packaging and export of elite cotton seeds using advanced Indian technologies. During the visit, meetings are held with the relevant departments of Uzbekistan specializing in seed production, plant quarantine and agriculture.
The parties agreed to establish an Uzbek-Indian seed-growing enterprise together with the Mirzayev Shukhrat Kenjayevich farm in Pakhtachinsky district of Samarkand region with direct investments (during 2020), the activity of which includes a whole line of the production process up to the export of elite cotton seeds, corn and other types of vegetable growing using Indian technology.
The Indian side proposed to consider opening a representative office of the Ministry of Innovative Development in Mumbai, the largest, financial, foreign economic and industrial center of India, in order to further attract Indian and other investors to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the company "Nath Bio-Genes" took part in the Regional Exhibition of Advanced Technologies and Innovative Developments in Agriculture, which took place in Andijan region on 24-25 February.
