Uzbek govn’t to fight with growth of prices for medicaments
A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures of ordering pharmaceutical activities and price formation for medicaments and products of medical purpose” was published at the website of Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA).
The document is directed at further ordering and improving pharmaceutical activities, introduction of single order of price formation, preventing facts of unfounded growth of prices for medicaments and medical products, ensuring social protection of population and increasing efficiency of the use of budget resources.
According to the draft resolution, the Government of Uzbekistan is planning to set maximum size of trade premium for wholesale enterprises at the size of not more than 10% from base price and for retail trade enterprises – not more than 20% from purchase price.
The resolution also envisages introduction of minimal assortment of medicaments and medical products, which should be at all drug stores, independently from their form of property.
