Uzbek Government Approves Procedure for State Registration of Medicines
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The government of Uzbekistan has approved regulations governing the state registration of medicinal products, according to an official decree.
The regulations establish two pathways for registration: the standard procedure and a recognition-based procedure.
The state registry will include: approved medicines; new combinations of medicines already registered in Uzbekistan; previously registered medicines in different forms, dosages, or produced by a different manufacturer; and biotechnological medicines previously registered in Uzbekistan but produced with changes to type, qualitative or quantitative composition, cellular characteristics, or other properties based on cell technology.
Following registration, a certificate of registration is issued with a validity of five years.
The Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety maintains the state registry of medicines and medical devices authorized for medical use. The registry is publicly accessible via the official websites of the Ministry of Health and the Center.
