Uzbek, German officials discuss bilateral ties, intl issues
Andreas Peschke arrived in Uzbekistan for the first time after his appointed to the post of Special Representative of Federal Foreign Office of Germany on Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of further developing cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment and other spheres between Uzbekistan and Germany.
The sides considered proposals on expanding the Uzbek-German contracts between parliaments, business circles, scientific institutions and educational establishments of two states.
The Uzbek and German officials also discussed issues of interaction in format Uzbekistan-EU, problems of international and regional character.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Uzbekistan Neithart Höfer-Wissing participated in the meeting.
