Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 11 January 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshikawa Yuumi, who arrived in our country on a visit.

An exchange of views took place on the implementation of the previously reached agreements, as well as the schedule of planned activities at various levels.

The importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary ties was emphasized. The significant contribution of the Japanese Parliamentary Friendship League with Uzbekistan to strengthening the strategic partnership between the countries was noted.

The interest of the parties in building up cooperation within the framework of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue to promote joint projects in the fields of transport, logistics, renewable energy, efficient water use and ecology was reported.

The commitment of Uzbekistan and Japan to provide mutual support within the framework of international institutions was confirmed.

It was indicated that there is a significant potential for cooperation in the areas of education, training and advanced training of personnel.
