Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 October 2022, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan with Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia Rainis Troksa.

During the talks, an exchange of views took place and topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well as the implementation of the points of the Roadmap, adopted following the visit of Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs to Uzbekistan on 8-10 February 2022.

The parties noted the need for further development of political dialogue, in particular high-level contacts and strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties.

The importance of expanding trade and economic cooperation as a key area of relations between the countries was emphasized.

Agreements were reached on working out the dates for holding the next round of inter-MFA political consultations by the end of the current year or in the first quarter of 2023.
