Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 October 2021, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Farkhod Arziev held a meeting with the Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) Ivan Mushket.
It was noted that from 6 October, the IPA CIS observer group began its activities, which involves long-term and short-term observation of the presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scheduled for 24 October 2021.
On 21-22 October, the main group of observers will arrive in Uzbekistan and will work at various polling stations.
The delegation of the IPA CIS was familiarized with the work carried out in the country to improve the electoral legislation and practice, as well as the measures taken to create conditions for the participation of citizens of Uzbekistan abroad in voting.
