Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Uzbekistan strongly condemns the terrorist act committed on 8 October 2021 during Friday prayers in the Afghan city of Kunduz, which led to numerous casualties, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Government of Uzbekistan expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of those killed and injured in this inhuman attack, the statement reads.

It is noted that such violent actions impede the establishment of sustainable and long-term peace and national accord in Afghanistan.

According to media reports, the explosion in the Kunduz mosque killed about 100 people.
