Uzbek Foreign Minister Takes Part in the “Aqaba Process 2025” in Rome

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov took part in the events of the “Aqaba Process 2025” held in Rome.

“We are pleased to participate in the ‘Aqaba Process 2025’ meeting, which brought together heads of state, ministers, and senior officials to exchange views on pressing issues of global and regional security,” the Foreign Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.

He noted that the event served as an effective platform for constructive discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing shared priorities. “Uzbekistan remains committed to supporting international efforts to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development,” he emphasized.

It is worth recalling that during the Uzbek–Jordanian high-level summit held on 25–26 August 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly praised the initiative of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein — the Aqaba Process, launched ten years ago — and proposed to host one of its upcoming sessions in Samarkand.

The Aqaba Process is aimed at strengthening international cooperation in combating extremism and terrorism.
