Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 December 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Jilek.
Accepting copies of his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him successful work.
The sides discussed topical issues of the development of Uzbek-Czech cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, educational, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as interaction within international and regional organizations.
Practical aspects of upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels were discussed, including holding the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in enhancing economic diplomacy between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, attracting direct Czech investments and technologies in the implementation of projects in the sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the talks.
