Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 December 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan Hassan Hamza Hashim.

Accepting copies of his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his assumption of office and wished him success in his responsible post.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan congratulated the Qatari side on the successful holding of the World Cup.

The current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Qatari relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Qatar have significant potential for the further development of multifaceted bilateral cooperation.

The parties, having indicated the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, spoke in favor of a significant increase in cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres.

Proposals to strengthen the inter-parliamentary dialogue were considered.

An exchange of views took place on the schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels.

Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian and tourism fields.

An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

During the meeting, separate international and regional issues were also considered.
