Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is on a working visit to Turkey, today took part in a solemn event organized at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul in connection with the 30th anniversary of the independence of our country.

During the event, the Minister presented a group of activists with commemorative medals "30 years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan" for their contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

The minister also talked with compatriots, representatives of the Uzbek diaspora and the media.

At the end of the event, Abdulaziz Kamilov called on our compatriots in Turkey to take an active part in the upcoming presidential elections.
