Uzbek Foreign Minister Meets with EU High Representative Kaja Kallas

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting today with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas.

“We had a frank and substantive discussion with Her Excellency Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission,” the Uzbek Foreign Minister wrote on his Telegram channel. “During the meeting, we discussed issues related to ensuring sustainable regional development, strengthening the partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union, and building new bridges between Central Asia and Europe.”

According to the minister, the sides also reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation in new and promising areas — from transport connectivity and the green transition to innovation and education.
