Uzbek Foreign Minister Holds Talks with EU Commissioner on Trade and Investment Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a working meeting with European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jozef Síkela, to discuss opportunities for deepening trade and investment ties between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
On his Telegram channel, Saidov highlighted that relations between Uzbekistan and the EU have reached an unprecedented level, fueled by the successful outcomes of the first Central Asia–EU Summit in Samarkand.
The parties discussed measures to strengthen this positive trend, including preparing a comprehensive program of joint initiatives, expanding bilateral trade and investment cooperation, and leveraging untapped areas of collaboration.
The Minister reaffirmed Tashkent’s commitment to enhancing dialogue with the EU and building a long-term strategic partnership focused on sustainable development and economic growth.
