Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 February 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, was received by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The Minister conveyed the message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the course of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visits.

It was noted that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, interstate relations have reached a qualitatively new level. Bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres has significantly intensified. Interaction is maintained within the framework of international and regional organizations.

Special attention is paid to the prospects for the development of multilateral cooperation in Central Asia, the implementation of infrastructure and transport and communication projects to enter new regional markets.

Other issues of mutual interest were discussed during the talks.
