Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 June 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) Baghdad Amreev. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan congratulated Baghdad Amreev on the successful holding of the meeting of the ministers of tourism of the Turkic Council in Kokand (Uzbekistan). The parties noted with satisfaction the decision to declare Kokand the first tourist capital of the Turkic world.

During the conversation, the state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the CCTS, as well as issues of further strengthening the activities of the Organization were discussed.

The importance of implementing the initiatives put forward by the heads of state during the informal online summit on 31 March 2021 in Turkestan (Kazakhstan) was emphasized.
