Uzbek FM, US official discuss ties, international issues
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 July 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Henry Ensher.
Ensher arrived in Tashkent as the head of the delegation to attend the meeting of the C5+1 Security Working Group of the representatives of the five Central Asian countries and the United States.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry said that at the meeting the sides discussed the practical issues of implementing the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the U.S. in May this year and negotiations with President Donald Trump, other key persons of the Administration and Congress.
The parties also exchanged views on some issues of international and regional policy in the context of the agenda of the meeting of the above-mentioned C5+1 Working Group.
The meeting was attended by the U.S. Ambassador Pamela Spratlen.
