Uzbek FM receives Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

During the conversation the sides discussed the state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Japan in the political, cultural, humanitarian and other areas, some regional problems, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in the format of the Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan", in the framework of international organizations.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further enhancing cooperation, particularly in trade and economic fields, and praised the outcome of regular meeting of the Uzbek-Japanese and Japanese-Uzbek economic cooperation committees on 27 January 2015 in Tokyo, during which large package of investment and loan agreements, technical assistance projects was signed.

The meeting also exchanged views on the forthcoming practical issues of bilateral contacts at various levels.

The talks were attended by the Ambassador of Japan Fumihiko Kato.
