Uzbek FM meets with US Under Secretary of State

On 22 September 2016, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon in New York.
The Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the government of Uzbekistan to the American side for condolences expressed by the US President Barack Obama on the death of the First President Islav Karimov,the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
During the conversation the sides exchanged views on topical issues of the Uzbek-American agenda, and the prospects of further development of relations.
The parties also discussed some international and regional problems.
