Uzbek FM meets with UN Under-Secretary-General

Mr Feltman arrived in Tashkent to attend the meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Tashkent.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The parties paid special attention to regional issues, bilateral and multilateral programs and projects aimed at mitigating the environmental disaster in the Aral Sea basin.

The UN Resident Coordinator, Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program Stephan Prisner attended the meeting.
