Uzbek FM meets President of Belgian parliament’s lower house

The sides discussed the current state of Uzbek-Belgian relations and exchanged views on the prospects for intensification of contacts between the two parliaments, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

It was emphasized that regular exchanges of delegations at the level of the legislative branch of Uzbekistan and Belgium contribute to the further strengthening of relations in political, trade-economic and humanitarian areas, improvement of the legal framework of cooperation.

The current visit of Chairman of the lower house of the Parliament of Belgium and the ongoing negotiations with the leaders of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis, the Government, ministries of Uzbekistan confirms the growth of the mutual interest in further deepening of bilateral cooperation, giving it a multi-faceted character.

At the meeting other issues have been also discussed, including international and regional issues.
