Uzbek FM holds talks with Federica Mogherini
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, attended in the interregional meeting of “Central Asia – European Union”, held a meeting with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini on 21 December 2015.
The sides discussed current state and perspectives of relations in the format “Uzbekistan and EU”, implementation of agreements, reached at high level, as well as inter-regional cooperation in all areas.
It was noted that in 2015 the meetings of virtually all joint institutions cooperation ,established in accordance with the signed in 1996 the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, were held. This testifies the mutual interest in the progressive development of mutually beneficial relations in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
At the meeting, the sides also exchanged opinion on some regional and international issues.
